Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan Fastener Exchange Conference Held in Hong Kong

On November 2, 2024, the three-region Screw Exchange Conference was held in Hong Kong after a lapse of five years.

In the speech, they respectively introduced the development of the fastener industry in their respective regions, the crisis and difficulties faced, and unanimously said that we should strengthen industry exchanges, unite as one, and jointly develop the future of the fastener industry!

After the exciting speech session, Mr. Chow Chi-yin, Head of Carbon and Environmental Management Excellence, Hong Kong Productivity Council, delivered a keynote speech on the EU Carbon Border Adjustment Tax Policy. In the speech, he introduced the current EU carbon tariff policy in a simple way, made a professional analysis based on the status quo of the fastener industry, and finally put forward a number of practical suggestions for the development of the fastener industry, and answered the doubts of the guests from a professional perspective.

Mr. Jiao Junhua, Secretary of the Party Committee of Dongfeng Motor Fastener Co., LTD., and executive director of Shanghai Special Strong Auto Fastener Co., LTD., gave a keynote speech on the introduction of fastening Technology related to new energy vehicles. He carefully introduced the current development status of new energy vehicles in China and the new requirements for fastener products. Vivid display of a number of categories of fastener products in the application of new energy vehicles, and for the site of the industry to answer a number of fastener product development, manufacturing, inspection and application problems.

Subsequently, Mr. Chow Chi-yin, Head Engineer of Carbon and Environmental Excellence Management, Hong Kong Productivity Council, delivered a keynote speech on "Quantifying the Carbon Footprint of Manufacturing Products and Case Studies". In this speech, Mr. Zhou Zhixian detailed the process of manufacturing carbon footprint, and combined with a number of enterprise cases, to help the site fastener practitioners more fully realize the importance of green production.

At the end of the conference, Mr. Xu Binghui, Chairman of the Hong Kong Screw Industry Association, Mr. Xue Kangsheng, Chairman of the Fastener Branch of the China Machinery General Parts Industry Association, and Mr. Hu Zhanfei, Chairman of the Taiwan Screw Industry Association, jointly took the stage to present gratitude letters to the two speakers today, thanking them for their contributions to the fastener industry in the three regions.

Organized by the organizers, the guests moved to the Bauhinia cruise ship for dinner.

Mr Tsui said that Hong Kong enjoys unique advantages in terms of geographical location and business environment, and he hoped to take advantage of these advantages to enhance the understanding of Hong Kong and strengthen cooperation among colleagues in various industries. Mr. Xue Kangsheng, president of Fastener Branch of China Machinery General Parts Industry Association, said that screw people in different backgrounds have the same pursuit and hope to strengthen exchanges and exchanges with colleagues in the global industry, especially colleagues in Asia, for mutual benefit and win-win cooperation and development. Hu Zhan Fei, Taiwan Screw Industry Association, said that in the past few years, because of a variety of internal and external factors, the fastener industry has developed slowly, but new thinking and new directions have also continued to emerge, I believe that under the joint efforts of colleagues in the three industries, it will eventually blossom in spring.

Among the guests, the 2024 three-region screw Exchange Conference officially came to an end. Through the holding of this conference, the three screw practitioners gathered together to jointly promote the development of the fastener industry.
