The China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, was founded in 1957 and is held in Guangzhou every spring and autumn. It has successfully held 132 sessions and is currently the longest and largest comprehensive international trade event in China, with the widest variety of goods, the largest number of buyers and the widest distribution of countries and regions, the best transaction results, and the best reputation. In recent years, the number of domestic and foreign exhibitors at each offline exhibition of the Canton Fair has reached 26000, covering 16 major product categories, gathering high-quality suppliers from various industries, and attracting nearly 200000 professional buyers from more than 200 countries to purchase at the fair
On April 19th, the first phase of the 133rd Canton Fair ended. The reporter learned from the organizing committee of the Canton Fair that the cumulative number of visitors to the first phase of the exhibition exceeded 1.26 million, and the grand gathering of thousands of merchants showcased the unique charm and attraction of the Canton Fair to the world. The 133rd Canton Fair will be held in three phases in Guangzhou from April 15th to May 5th. The first phase is from April 15th to 19th, with a total of 20 exhibition areas for household appliances, building materials, bathroom, hardware tools, etc. 12911 enterprises participating offline, of which 3856 new exhibitors.
Xu Bing, spokesperson for the Canton Fair and deputy director of the China Foreign Trade Center, introduced that many buyers have traveled thousands of miles to the Fair and believe that the comprehensive characteristics of the Fair meet the “one-stop” procurement needs. Some exhibiting companies have already received $3 million in intended orders on their first day, and there are exhibiting companies in the industrial automation and intelligent manufacturing exhibition area with orders of up to $10 million. At the same time, the transaction models of on-site sample inspection, on-site factory inspection, and adjusting product design plans before placing orders are gradually increasing. At this year’s Canton Fair, many enterprises stated that a large number of customers have already made appointments for on-site factory inspection.
