Jiulonghu Town focuses on block economy to build a "Common Prosperity Workshop" for fasteners
Fasteners are indispensable key basic components in the machinery industry and are hailed as the "rice of industry". Ningbo is a renowned manufacturing powerhouse and the capital of fasteners in China. 85% of the fastener enterprises in Zhenhai District are concentrated in Jiulonghu Town. To effectively integrate resources and better serve enterprises, the Zhenhai District Fastener Industry Association and the Jiulonghu Chamber of Commerce have adopted an integrated operation model. After several years of efforts, the business association was awarded the title of "Four Good Chamber of Commerce" at the national level, and Jiulonghu Town was recognized as the "Fastener Town of China" and a "Demonstration Town for Industrial Cluster Economy of China".
Industry is the core element of the "Common Prosperity Workshop". In recent years, Jiulonghu Town has been leveraging its block advantages in the fastener industry to actively promote the practice of "one industry" enriching "one area". Driven by the high-quality development of fastener enterprises, it has been fully committed to building a "common prosperity workshop" for fasteners, effectively smoothing the channels for village-enterprise cooperation, absorbing villagers from Xihe, Xijingtang and Tiangu villages for nearby employment, and promoting the transformation of surplus labor force into surplus productive forces. The combined operating income of village collectives increased by 52%, achieving a two-way improvement of "enterprise growth" and "expansion of assistance coverage", and painting a new picture of common prosperity featuring "industrial upgrading" and "regional prosperity".

Through the joint construction of Party building, several villages have shared resources and jointly planned interests to achieve the goal of concentrating resources to accomplish major tasks. Jiulonghu Town has driven development integration through organizational integration and promoted development leadership through organizational guidance. Jiulonghu Town has optimized a 1,100-mu industrial park in a contiguous manner, implemented 25 supporting projects, established a common prosperity database, and compiled four lists including local resources, supply and demand, policy support, and rural surplus labor force. At present, 77 fastener enterprises have participated in the construction of common prosperity workshops, providing more than ten types of positions such as packaging, cold heading, red drawing, wire drawing, and net bag furnaces, and absorbing low-income villagers from the surrounding areas for nearby employment.
To develop and strengthen the collective economy at the village level, efforts should be made to integrate resources. Jiulonghu Town encourages the village and community Party organizations under joint construction to effectively utilize idle or inefficiently used collective assets, awakening the dormant resources. The combined collective business income of the three jointly built villages increased by more than 52%, among which the collective business income of Xihe Village rose by over 80%.
Meanwhile, Jiulonghu Town actively guides leading enterprises to fully play their exemplary and leading roles, promoting "geese formation" development and forming a more complete framework for helping the rich. In order to better support the development of the workshops, Jiulonghu Town has fully staffed 77 enterprise assistance service personnel and 32 Party building instructors for new economic organizations and social organizations, playing a role in policy promotion, coordination and liaison, and improving the service chain between villages and enterprises.
Group growth enables Juneng's transformation to "work in unison"
In the process of building a "Common Prosperity Workshop" for fasteners, Jiulonghu Town has proactively absorbed industry nourishment, precisely contacting industry experts from the Institute of Materials Science and Engineering of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Southeast University and other institutions to visit enterprises and diagnose the technical bottlenecks and transformation difficulties of the enterprises. With the assistance of experts, a total of 7 enterprises successfully applied for the title of National High-tech Enterprise, 3 enterprises were selected as municipal specialized, refined, distinctive and innovative small and medium-sized enterprises, and 17 enterprises carried out digital transformation. For instance, Jinding Fastener Company launched a digital three-dimensional warehousing project. We constantly promote enterprises to expand the "scenarios" of technology application, introduce integrated product testing platforms, and achieve "one-stop" testing for various types of components, saving a large amount of testing costs for small and micro enterprises.
When dealing with risks such as foreign trade lawsuits, workshop enterprises jointly build a "risk barrier" and form a trademark brand protection alliance. It is understood that there was once a batch of products from other places that were sold under the name of Zhenhai Fasteners. The association and the workshop enterprises promptly coordinated with the District Market Supervision Bureau and the District Commerce Bureau to issue certificates of origin in a timely manner, effectively safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of the enterprises. The workshop enterprises have been deeply engaged in the "common prosperity" pairing with three villages, participating in the "one enterprise, one project" for people's livelihood, and contributing to rural revitalization. The association has also established a "Little Migratory Bird Station" to provide free summer care services, solving the worries of enterprise employees. At the same time, a "Common Prosperity Academy" was established, launching over ten skills improvement training programs and micro-classes, which not only targeted front-line workers but also extended to the surrounding villagers, enhancing the ability of employed people to earn income through skills and become prosperous.
At present, Jiulonghu Town is accelerating the implementation of a three-year improvement action for the fastener industry, building an intelligent, digital and green fastener characteristic industrial park, to better promote the high-quality development of the fastener industry and make the foundation for common prosperity of the town's industries increasingly solid.
