Introduction of Hexagon head bolt

Hexagon bolt refers to the fastener composed of head and screw. The bolt is divided into iron bolt and stainless steel bolt according to the material, namely, hexagon-head bolt (partial thread) – Grade C and hexagon-head bolt (full thread) – Grade C

The processing process of hexagon bolts is as follows:

1、 Cut, use the special scissors to cut the materials stuck in the shear mold into the blanks we need in a single direction.

2、 First punch, this step is mainly to press the blank with the back punch against the blank punch, and then push the blank out after slowly forming

3、 Second punching, which is similar to the above step, is to carry out the second big die and die extrusion, so that the blank will become oblate after processing.

4、 Three-punching, which is the third time to process and punch the mold, uses the hexagonal three-punch die core to cut. When the hexagonal head of the raw material is slowly formed, the raw material is pushed into the mold for the third time to punch the mold. Finally, when the hexagonal head is cut off, the production is completed.

Performance level

The performance grade of bolts used for steel structure connection is divided into more than 10 grades, including 4.6, 4.8, 5.6, 6.8, 8.8.10.9, 12.9, etc. Among them, bolts of grade 8.8 and above are made of low carbon alloy steel or medium carbon steel and heat treated (quenched and tempered), which are generally referred to as high-strength bolts, and the rest are generally referred to as ordinary bolts. The bolt performance grade mark consists of two parts of numbers, which respectively represent the nominal tensile strength value and yield strength ratio of the bolt material. For example:

Bolts with performance grade of 4.6 mean:

1. The nominal tensile strength of bolt material reaches 400MPa;

2. The yield strength ratio of bolt material is 0.6;

3. Nominal yield strength of bolt material reaches 400 × 0.6=240MPa

High-strength bolts with performance grade of 10.9 can reach the following after heat treatment:

1. The nominal tensile strength of bolt material reaches 1000MPa;

2. The yield strength ratio of bolt material is 0.9;

3. Nominal yield strength of bolt material reaches 1000 × 0.9=900MPa level

The meaning of bolt performance grade is an international standard. The performance of bolts with the same performance grade is the same regardless of their material and place of origin. Only the performance grade can be selected in design.
